For over 25 years, AppleTree Schools have offered tuition-free preschool to families in DC, providing quality early childhood education through our research-based instructional program, Every Child Ready. With 13 locations, we focus on PK3 and PK4, blending academics, social-emotional development, and play-based learning to create a structured, nurturing first-time school experience. Our experienced teachers foster creativity, engagement, and a love of learning while empowering children to explore their full potential. AppleTree’s commitment to families and their involvement ensures a bright future filled with possibilities for every child.

Monthly activities for families and students

• Spacious classrooms, a dedicated sensory room, partnerships with THEARC, outdoor classrooms, provide interactive and hands-on learning experiences beyond traditional education.
• Located within steps of other school programs for older children for families with siblings
• In-depth knowledge of PK3 and PK4 children, enabling staff to balance the importance of academics and the needs of young children (inquisitiveness, toileting, emotion regulation, separation anxiety, etc.)
