DC Scholars PCS

DC Scholars develops life-long scholars who have the academic knowledge and skills, individual passions, and community-mindedness necessary to succeed in and contribute to an ever changing world. Opened in 2012 as a PK-3 public charter school in DC’s Ward 7, DC Scholars now serves grades PK3-8 while sustaining strong academic achievement. Our school delivers rigorous instruction, serves as a community of joy where students thrive, and embeds the expectation that scholars can – and will – achieve academic success.

• DC Scholars is committed to academic excellence. In SY23-24, DC Scholars was named one of the city’s bright spots for math instruction by EmpowerK12.
• DC Scholars serves the whole family in a caring community. We support children from age three all the way through the transition to high school. DC Scholars offers events, resources, and a community of support for the entire family.
• In addition to excellent academic courses, a well-rounded scholar should have the option to explore their individual passions. DC Scholars offers science, social studies, Spanish, art, dance, and P.E./Health. We also have additional enrichment clubs.
